CRHRA Presents HR’s Leadership Role: Facilitating the Tough Conversations

Albany, NY - The Capital Region Human Resources Association (CRHRA) will hold the next Monthly Meeting and Program on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Elizabeth Fredericks and Jim Mahan from Vitalwork, Inc., will present HR’s Leadership Role: Facilitating the Tough Conversations.

The Human Resource leadership as well as the HR function in any organization will not have a truly powerful seat at the senior management table until HR leaders are recognized as full and strategic partners by their CEO. How does a senior HR leader demonstrate this kind of strategic value when so much of what they deliver to the organization is tactical in nature?

During this presentation participants will be:
  • Introduced to the signs that a Crucial Conversation is in need of taking place
  • Shown a process for getting these conversations started, and,
  • Provided a design template you can use to develop the essence of these conversations before they take place.

This event begins with registration from 7:00am – 7:30am, breakfast buffet from 7:30am – 8:00am, and program from 8:00am – 9:00am at the Holiday Inn Turf on Wolf Road in Albany.

Reservations may be made at www.CRHRA.org or by contacting CRHRA at (518) 463-8687. The events are open to the public. The Monthly Meeting & Program: CRHRA Members $20, Non-Members 25, Students $10.
